YAY!!!!
got the master of opaline today,it sounds cool! just a few days to finalize the art work and get everything printed up and copies will be available for sale at www.cdbaby.com. and for those that are local,you can get 'em from me directly by contacting me at jef@jefbear.com. I'm jazzed,it was nice to get some good news today...its been a pretty lame week.

This is a lame day indeed.
I just found out that Kurt Struebing of the band NME died yesterday when his car plunged off the spokane street bridge in seattle. Kurt was one of the coolest, funniest guys I have ever met. I will forever remember sharing beers with him and the other members of NME whenever they came to town. the guy was just one of the friendliest people you could ever meet,and his laugh was infectious. all my best goes out to his family and bandmates. our local scene here in the NW has lost one of its most active and supportive members. there really are no words to describe it......I just feel sick.

I'm Toying around with the site design.
I was getting bored of the old green style.

To all who have inquired,Opaline still isnt back from mastering yet,but,rest assured,when it arrives,I will be making it available on cdbaby.com,and I will of course send out a mass emailing letting everyone know its out.

I will be adding some of the synth/ambient rough mixes to the music section.
just a l'il taste of some of the weirder stuff i am doing lately.

Opiate will be out soon,check back soon for more info on that.

Opaline will be headed to mastering soon. then my ass has to get in gear and finish the artwork,once thats done,..it will be available here,and on www.cdbaby.com. the first copies will be on CDR until I can afford to send it to a manufacturer,but hey,it'll be purchasable n stuff. schweeeet!!!
also,I'm working on the weirdo ambient project I have been threatening to do for about a year now,some of its recorded already,some not. look for a ambient section in the music portion of the site soon,...I'll be putting some rough mixes in there for you to check out.
also will probably be selling some copies of KAIA,STEM!!! n Gas Chamber here on the site shortly as well....got a lot of loose ends to tie up,but they will be there. their gonna be CDRs as well,..all in the tradition of the Hi/Lo/Fi sound/shoe string productions philosophy.

DAMMIT!! my back is buggin the hell outta me tonight,and everytime i move i feel like someone is kicking me in the spine....@#&$ !!
i decided laying in bed gettin pissed isnt going to make me sleep,so,i decided to make and upload some mp3's of some spaceier tunes....'madness of insomnia' (how appropriate) and 'Opiate' from the KAIA Cd.also 'Desert Sun Mirage' and 'Tripwire Nightmare' in the DEMOS section.
....and now i feel tired....so maybe i can sleep now. i hate this.

i spent most of the evening making mp3's...spanning most of my musical history over the last 10years or so...
some of the songs have a little paragraph explaining titles or the story behind the song. just find the songs that you can click on the titles of,and read some silly crap!!! oh yeah!!!
damn this website is only 1 day old ...and i've already crammed so much stuff into it......silly!

welcome to the new jefbear.com,formerly hi.lo.fi sound recordings. this site is in its early stages,and will be updated quite regularly.
there will be news,some music,goofy photos,and probobly some of my digital photography and art. i plan on adding sounds from all the hi/lo/fi titles such as STEM!!!,planetary orchestra,gas chamber ensemble, and CHUCK.....as well as my upcoming project entitled 'Opaline'....... AND if you so desire you can contact me to purchase CD's of all of the above,i may even make available per song purchases,if there is a desire,...who knows really,..its my space to FREAK OUT on. I hope all who come by to check it out will enjoy and be amused.
